Im just saying that the most iconic superheroes aren't tactful in the messages they spread and comics do like to beat people over the head with their messages to make sure you understand what they're saying.

They can be subtle as well, but we can't forget their history and origins. Black Panther and Black Lightning literally wear their message

Im not saying there isnt a place for that, just dont think its as useful if you have a political goal if you get me.

I mean what else would you call it, awful naming? Awful concept?

If they can come up with a compelling narrative centered around such dumb characters then I'll admit I was wrong, but when one of the core members of the group's super powers is being able to Google things then I'll remain a bit on the pessimistic side.

Sure, but given that these are all multiple decades old, I'm not sure how you think that it helps your point of "comics are bad these days due to lazy SJWs".

Sorry, Blue_Inigo, I got you mixed up with the people genuinely arguingcomics are bad these days due to lazy SJWs.

He kind of explains why those 2 characters were named safespace and snowflake and it was done on purpose to take back names that are normally associated with negative stigmas. While I still find it cringey, I at least understand why.

Anyways yes Comics have always been political, but there are times when the politics gets really "in your face" that it does effect the writing.

There was a period where DC comics teamed up the Hal Jordan Green Lantern (a conservative) and the Oliver Queen Green Arrow (a liberal) had them travel across the USA dealing with different problems and social issues. This was in the seventies and eighties.

Those names were obviously chosen for a reason. The creator had to know how certain people would react to snowflake and safespace. I do believe it was intentional.

It's almost like putting decent writing as a higher priority than the social issues is better than how the modern comics just throw in random things to try to appeal to people who don't read comics in the first place with no regard for the quality of writing. Imagine that.

Those were real issues back then...

People talk about how "SJW" the times are now when shit like the Extreme Ghostbusters existed in the 90s. Literally a show based around hitting all the diversity marks. It even had an episode based around anti-semitism

The only thing that has changed is the people that hate diversity have gotten louder and more annoying

Comics were niche and "for children", for most of their modern history in the USA. Also, far less neckbeards getting together on the internet.
