It's alright,. Just not as good as season 1.

It's alright. Westworld has a tendency to purposely obscure itself in service of big twists (which debatably worked well in season 1), but that puts a lot of pressure on the late season to pull it all together. If you don't think it did well, it can negatively impact your impression of earlier episodes you previously enjoyed.

I really liked Season 1 but i wish that Season 2 would've started right where the last left off with the robot uprising and having most of the episode center around the humans trying to survive during the massacre. Although i like that its now similar to the movie its based on and most of the robots are the villains now.

Yeah, pretty much every single episode of season 1 was good. I just wish season 2 started off as good and strong as the first season.

I didnt know people thought it was bad. It wasnt as good as the first season but I still enjoyed it. Really my only complaint was that to me it felt more like a season 4 or season 5 rather than the second season. Like imagine if walking dead jumped straight to Alexandria in season 2.

This
It's full of red herrings just for the sake of it. There's not as much cool world building going on either. I didnt hate it, but season 1 despite it's slow start is dramatically better. Season 3 might as well be a completely different show. With that said, I like all of Westworld. It just has some issues.

season 2 is my fav but as most poster said most fan prefer 1 over it due to how good that was but this doesn't mean 2nd is bad but the impact that the first season left with a first time watcher is hard to match
keep watching it get's better and adds more character development to the rest of the cast that were sideline last season and the music is better imo and god get ready for the feels man a certain ep will hit you like a brick

I kinda hope William gets his comeuppance for being such a dick in the present day parts of season 1. He did his job at being the villain of season 1 that's for sure.

Its not quite as good as Season 1 but it does have the single best episode of the whole series so far.

good as 1 no but damn good .. 3 is good too but it takes a different tack to the earlier seasons .. the leading lady (Even Racheal Wood) is a real show stopper seamingly out of nowhere - she was in some film years ago and then disapeared

You didn't think he was a good villain in S1? I definitely hated him and his actions in S1 and i still hate him in early S2. I was happy to see him get his ass kicked finally by Dolores and was hoping that she would finish him off and get revenge for all the things he did to her and the others.

I thought he was fantastic in Season 1. I was more reacting to the "I hope he gets what he deserves." thing. The stuff with his daughter is silly af.

Its so satisfying seeing him get his ass kicked after all that time. I just love that he's completely outmatched in their fight and couldn't do anything to her really.

Its so bad I put it down after two episodes. They clearly had no idea where they were going. Season 1 was great and should have ended there.

Science fiction is at its best when it poses interesting questions and situations. A synth revolt is not as interesting as an examination of humanity, no matter how hard you try to gussy it up.

Its a shame to see that most people seem to have season 1 as the peak of the series and it never gets better or as good in the seasons after. Season 1 was so good that i'd hope that it'd continue the forward momentum and just keep getting better and better, but it seems like that's not the case sadly.

I thought S2 was a mixed bag. Some good stuff, some bad stuff, an entire episode of pointless stuff.

Then I rewatched S1 and realized even the best of S2 didn't measure up to how good it was.

@marthsheretoo There's nothing more disappointing than having something be really promising and then go on to not live up to its good or great reputation. Especially if something starts off really promising but squanders that promise too soon.
