Yeah, they can't seem to get the flavor right. There's usually a weird after taste involved.

By itself it's really bad. In other applications it's better, but still pales compared to real cheese. I do like it on green-tomato sandwiches.

Vegan food can be expensive, but there are just as many cases where it's cheaper than regular foods. As a failed vegan myself, I'd say that nothing about depriving yourself of something you like for morality should be considered a privilege. Yes, it is for sure a trendy fad for the rich and the famous, and being wealthy makes it easier to afford the yummiest vegan snacks, but for anyone that enjoys animal products, not eating them because you believe in a certain cause can be heckin' tough, not easy, not fun. If one were to eat natural, raw, and simple ingredients, then vegan food can be cheaper than a regular diet, since this would include a bunch of fresh produce, which is some of the cheapest stuff at the grocery. --- I could be there when you land. ...
