here's the stipulations regarding the community service. You have 1 month to complete the allotted time or else you face jail time. This translates to 12 hour work days over a 4 week period with 2 days off. The community service schedule is thursday to monday so no weekends off.

Or you could just spend 3 days in jail and leave it at that.

Community Service should be given out as a sentence way for often than it is.

Jail as it exists in America today is a waste of time at best and a net-negative at worst.

I had community service when I was 15.Got caught at a random checkpoint and didnt have a DL.

I tended the flowers at the local museums garden for like 2 weeks....meh for that nothing was put on my record.

That community service is only able to be completed if you don't have a job unless you literally sleep 4 hours or less a night.

A month of hell vs 3 days in jail? What the fuck would you take

60 hour work week just for community service? Maybe if I didn't have a job, but even then the 3 days in jail sounds like a much better deal. For this to be a hard choice I think you should have far more time to complete the community service.

You wont get raped or murdered in jail. That happens in prison.

It's an impractical scenario i made up.
I just remembered when a judge gave michelle rodriguez a choice between community service and 5 days in jail and she picked jail

Okay this is bullshit because that isn't how community service works. If this was like, normal community service I'd go with that. But in this situation if we are talking about normal jail rather than federal prison I'd pick jail. Nothing is going to happen to me 3 days in jail.
