If your father is living, he is king. The eldest child (Gender doesnt matter) becomes ruler of the kingdom. Where do you rank in the kingdom?

My father is still king, Id be heir to the throne.

I guess I'd be heir to the throne in your scenario, but my father has an older brother who also has kids. If my uncle was king, I'd probably just be some count or something because I'd be like fifth in line for the throne.

I'm heir to the throne. My dad is the oldest of his siblings, so it makes sense that he's king. If I die it should go to my aunt, since I have no kids or living siblings, and she's older than my dad's brother. If she had been the queen then I would be way down in line, since she has several kids, some of which have kids.
