He apologized for the email and said he never meant to use the word "good" as the email was sent after a resident requested information regarding his plans to end police violence and racial profiling as the resident said the issue is very important to them They said his response shocked them after circulating the email online on what he said The mayor said he is DYSLEXIC and so he used voice text to send his late night response and said he failed to notice the added word He said "Unfortuantely, i did not take the time to proofread what was recorded. I absolutely did not say that. What i said is i don't believe there's ever been a person of colour murdered by police, on context to Temecula or Riverside County. I absolutely did not say 'good' i have no idea how that popped up" The city issued a statement stating the 4 year term councilor has stepped down from his post as Stewart said "You have every right to be hurt and offended.
