A ton of sitcoms feature crossover characters or have mutliple spinoffs, or actors that go to another so I need to know what the best order to watch them would be that would let me follow actors and characters across American History, thanks.

Is the Andy Griffith Show a good starting point? Or maybe Leave it to Beaver?

Okay, now we are getting somewhere. Do I need to watch it as "The Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Show" or "The LucyDesi Comedy Hour"? Speaking of the Comedy Hour, wikipedia makes it unclear if it's a sequel show or just a renaming. Would a version of it just called I Love Lucy have all the content? Are there any recommended spinoffs? Do Desi Arnaz or Lucille Ball show up in any other sitcoms, or their characters?

I Love Lucy movie, then TV show, then the Comedy hour, which is a sequel like Dragon Ball Z to DB and Super to Z.

Her character shows up in a few other shows. There's also The Lucy Show, but not the same character.

Also George Reeves shows up as Superman, but as the actor.

What a rabbit hole that was. Do you recommend trying to find any of the Honeymooners sketches (lost episodes, musical episodes)? Are they vital to the continuity?

Thank you for that important information, I'll have to track down that movie at once to begin my viewing (I've decided the Chaplin films are more of a previous franchise at best, not really being part of sitcom continuity. They were also far more international, and I'm not sure if I'm going to step into British sitcom and the like yet). The original TV show is also called I Love Lucy, not just The Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Show correct? Both of those refer to the same thing, I hope?

I'm interested in any of the shows that she crosses over into, even if she plays another character. Either of those could be a good jumping on point. I'm hoping to include at least most of the tangential popular franchises here.

I hear the Happy Days franchise has quite a few weird subfranchises, like Mork and Mindy. Is there any way to get to that from I Love Lucy?

Is All in the Family the start of that particular branch? I wish I could see a timeline of all of these shows so I could find the best time to branch into them. I have heard of the Jeffersons though, I was quite interested in trying it out,
