From the New World is great, kinda slow and boring through the first 3 eps, then after a big plot dump it gets great, keeps going up and up in quality, takes a bit of a nosedive during the final arc, but sticks the landing so it's all good.

Hikaru no Go, Slam Dunk and I guess Ippo are among some of the better sports shows.

Ace of Diamond is very solid

For mangas, I will always stan for Rookies as the best baseball series, though that's mostly due to the human drama.
