The heat over there is more dry right? Though I guess that depends on which part of Texas one is in?

The humidity over here is what's the worst. It's like a sauna. Working in it is one of the most miserable experiences.

Texas heat is the kinda heat where if you stand still you can see the heat waves in the air and not even trying to fan yourself will save you, you're just blowing hot air into you face more. The only things that can offer some semblance of security are an umbrella or a tree.

Not that I'm downplaying the godawful heat there, which sounds rough, but at least y'all got that. You can't escape the humidity.

It wasn't too bad like, a week ago. I was going outside doing yard work and gardening in the mornings and walking my dog in the evening with no problems. Monday, during our evening walk, it's like we were engulfed by ball of humidity. My hairy-ass dog just let out this monstrous groan of disapproval and she's refused walks since then. She'll go out back to do her business but immediately run back in.

Today, I went out to mow at 7:30 and was sweating my ass off before I even got the mower out. I was like, "Oh yeah, Texas."

It ain't dry in my part of Texas. My outdoors activities severely decline in the summer lol. I might be moving to California in a couple years though.

Austin's great, but be warned this city is still pretty racist. Also the city is full of status seeking posers with some hardcore "keeping up with the Jonses" culture. But if you can keep your hair outta that it's really fun.

I don't know how you guys don't just melt over there. It averages around the mid-higher 90s at our hottest times, but we still can break 100 and it happens more and more as years go on. I feel like I'm going to die when I have to work out in it and I've probably been close to doing so a couple of times I'm sure.
