But these last two albums are lower quality than everything I got through last topic so I'm okay with it.

#4: Janie Runaway

This one is much funkier than the first few tunes and less jazzy though we get a bit of nice chromatic bliss during the chorus. Tough singing. Drums are tight and they really dig the sax in this album.

Yikes, I actually stopped paying attention when this song was going I was so bored. I think we all know by now I really don't enjoy later SD. I remember now why I don't listen to these last two albums too often. The music is nice and elevator-esque but nothing seems to ever really happen.

Maybe its sobriety...damn drugs make people too creative

Alright JoS is the first song on the album that sounds like a good ole fashioned dan tune. The vamp that the verse is sung over is groovy, has some nice starts and stops. I remember now that this one was always my fav on this album I believe.

Actually I lied, Cousin Dupree is my favorite because of the lyrics. The groove is another throwback to older Dan days and less jazzy than some of their others which, in this album, I enjoy. This song is about incest, in a very "dan" way
