When it comes to playing video games most people would rather sit on a couch and press buttons. If we wanted to exercise we'd go outside, or to the gym, away from the TV.

Video games are my sit down and relax time. Plus, motion controls never felt very responsive to me, every game I played I felt like I'd rather just use a real controller.

Motion controls can't be fun because they need to be dumbed down for everyone to use.

For instance, all of us just want a light saber Star Wars game with accurate motion controls. We've got visions of us doing super awesome spins and shit. The problem with that is that no one has studied sword fighting and almost no one looks cool trying to be obi wan. So either the game needs to be ridiculously easy or the controls need to disguise out inability to actually be jedi masters.

If you make accurate motion controls then you need to actually learn how to use proper form. No one wants to study/practice for years to play a 40 hr game.

Yeah, like the Wiimote's ability to sense motion was actually pretty limited, and the nunchuk's ability to sense motion was virtually non-existent(I can't count the number of times it failed to sense movement when using the grapple beam in Metroid Prime 3, for example, which is a shame, because literally ripping shields away from enemies was pretty gratifying).

Plus everything else people said about it being much easier to just press buttons.
