A system and method for providing interleaving point-of-load (POL) regulators such that each regulator's switching cycle is phase displaced with respect to those of other POL regulators in the array is disclosed. As a result, the aggregate input and/or output reflected ripple and noise of the input, output, or both is reduced. Each regulator in the array is associated with an unique address. A serial data-line writes the phase spacing programmed to each addressable POL regulator in the array. The present invention permits phase displacement of POL regulators without limitation to the input and output voltages of each of the regulators in the array. The array of POL regulators may also operate in a phase displaced mode with only a single control line. The need for separate controllers and multiple control lines is thereby eliminated.

A flexible liquid crystal display (LCD) substrate support structure and a method of supporting a flexible LCD substrate during fabrication have been provided. The method forms channels or trenches in-between a rigid support substrate and the flexible LCD substrate. A vacuum is created in the channels or trenches to pull adhesive in. The adhesive formed in this manner contains no air or water bubbles whose expansion in subsequent LCD fabrication processes can destroy the integrity of thin film transistor films formed on the flexible LCD substrate.

A method for producing an oil-binding agent of granular open-porous structure with a silicate ceramic matrix by using recovered paper material and clay. The method is characterized in that, in each case based on the entire raw material, 35 to 60 wt.-% sewage sludge with a water content of between 70 and 85 wt.-%, 25 to 55 wt.-% recovered paper material with a water content of between 35 and 55 wt.-%, 10 to 25 wt.-% clay and optionally 1 to 3 wt.-% zeolite, 1 to 2 wt.-% quicklime and/or up to 3 wt. % fly ash are mixed to a homogeneous mixture. The raw material thus obtained is subsequently processed in order to form particles having an average diameter of 4 to 6 mm. The particles are then dried and subsequently burnt at 950 to 1050 C. The oil-binding agents produced according to said method have a bulk density of between 0.4 and 0.75 kg/1 and a oil-binding capability of 0.7 to 1.0 1 oil per oil-binder.

Yes, my eyes glaze over when reading these too. Just gotta extrapolate and not worry about the fine details. It sounds to me like maybe you've found a way to make their electronic devices more streamlined and quieter. In principle I'm all for it. I like my ripple and noise as low as possible!

Oh man, this is kind of useful in the abstract. But I'm finding it difficult to believe you're going to have much luck offering open heart surgery to random passersby. I think they'd be giving you a pretty wide berth.

Well I'll be damned! You've found a way to improve the speed and functionality of RAM circuits. I guess that's useful for those of them who want to build a computer. Note that fire is one of the more common reasons for elevator stoppage, so your patent seems more designed for the folks caught in the crossfire than the rioters.
