It fixes the biggest issue I had with the original, which was getting overleveled very quickly. I love it. I need to get the game.

Yeah, Expert Mode is nice. It basically let's you customize the difficulty, and with adequate discretion, can make sure you learn how to build and use your characters and use the options at your disposal well to succeed. Enemies don't seem tougher, such as higher stats, etc., as far as I know though, I think characters are awarded a bit less EXP in general, which is still more than enough if you do side quests, except you get to store EXP for each party member individually and give and take away levels from party members whenever you want or need to. It's not something that is locked to the save file as well, which is also good.

Yeha, Im planning on manually leveling my party when I feel the game gets too tough, battle system is fun but got boring in the original when it got too easy.
