You know, the guy who says let's put the camera here, let's have this guy walk to the right, blah blah.
In a live-action movie, this is one role of a cinematographer, but cinematographers have other responsibilities that may not apply, like managing equipment and sets, choosing lenses etc. I guess CG movies are probably this way too. Is this guy just a kind of cinematographer? video games are pretty young and really just within the last few gens able to use someone with that skillset. i doubt many games had a person dedicated to cinematography job role.
