Initially I thought that too, but we have to realize that the riots and protests are not solely because of what happened with the murder. Its part of it, but whats happening is due to a larger, ongoing injustice that has been going on for too long. We are bearing witness to the culmunation of centuries of abuse by those who have unchecked power, vs those with very little power. Riots aren't an initial reaction, but a last resort

It would be better to propose actual changes than flail about and hope something magically happens. This is a bottom up approach no different than trying to end regular murder at the end of the day.

No one wants violence, but we didn't listen to peaceful protests. We meme them and laugh at them.

I still believe that riots should be better aimed, like at harmful government facilities. But... maybe this is the only way.

We'll find out soon enough.
