They also know that they can't arrest the media. The police have tooo much power, they know it, and they abuse it. Even if they have no charge that would hold up in a court of law, if they don't like you they will put you in jail and ruin your next few days/week. Its blatantly unconstitutional and an abuse of power and it needs to fucking end. I grew up seeing it all the time. I would see someone be rude to a cop and the response would be "do you want to go to jail?", and I remember thinking...but he didn't break any law. I soon realized that it didn't matter if you broke a law or not. The people need to arm themselves and fight back its the only way. When someone has a gun and is authorized to use it and you don't, you will never be treated with respect. You're not going to win a shootout with a militarized police force.
