it has to be downloaded through the windows store, and the reviews there are claiming it breaks/uninstalls/has various technical issues

I'm pretty sure we're all PC because barely anyone on B8 plays on xbox

and yes after the first day I had it just straight up stop launching for me and I had to uninstall the game and also completely reset the windows store to fix it

you should make the max number of characters anyways though because pso2 throws out rewards on a per-character basis like candy

waiting on my ssd to arrive before i can upgrade to windows 10 and begin the process of playing this game in english after logging about 6000 hours into JP servers

it is pretty unfortunate; the eng community on jp servers was small enough to where all of us could fit on ship 2, and we all tried to come back to ship 2 for eng, and.... it's not going well. unfortunately it's just a matter of difference of characters being saved locally vs mmo server systems. pso was a lot more friendly about playing with everyone, but it was also incredibly easy to hack

they're almost always accountbound, so you can slap em into storage. the most common example of these rewards are All Skill Tree Reset Passes; they actually gave out one to every character right as PC launched, so xbox users got one on all their characters

not ALL rewards are character-based, but quite a few are. skill reset passes are handed out every time they tweak any skills whatsoever, because every character could use it. I have like 100 of them sitting around unused in jp lmao

but if you guys need tips on anything @ me, i've played all classes to at least level 60 or so. most recent endgame mains have been techer, bouncer, phantom, summoner, and I was originally braver for about four years

summoner is definitely not beginner friendly both cuz it plays weird and also because candy box layouts require specific things you won't have and are also confusing in general, but i like it as a class a lot. though, the main reason i like it is one specific pet.... which won't come out till the episode 4 finale urgent quest

i haven't played a ton though, i tried a bit but it was just all very overwhelming. so many systems, so many menus, so many tutorials, a million different quest givers with no indication where to start, so many skills even though every enemy up to level 20 just dies in a couple hits so i couldn't figure out any real tactics yet

i want to play more it just feels kind of daunting and i don't love that you can't take a step in any direction without being faced with a dozen microtransaction icons

only "good" microtransactions early on are more mags and 50 more inventory slots imo

most important thing is just log in for the urgent quests, because if you catch a few every day, that's super time-efficient progress

if you're unsure of anything in particular I can help, but if it's a matter of being overwhelmed by too much info, only thing that can solve that is playing more so you can figure out your questions probably

yeah i did look at the microtransactions just enough to figure out how mags work. because i'd rather just play one character for convenience, and you need 4 mags total i believe to be able to play every class, so that's just 10$, which is fair.

and yeah i just need to play a bit more and familiarize myself with it.

wouldn't even say mags are even "required" until you start trying to do SH/XH content; I certainly did not use anything other than a melee mag for a few thousand hours of gameplay but I played around with other classes quite a bit (though never to level cap)

Yeah this is a thing. Pso2 tweaker fixes a lot of this.

Hopefully the official game patch I a few days fixes it as well

there was always some amount of lag in jp, but it definitely didn't feel quite this bad

maybe it really was this bad on the populated blocks and I never noticed cuz most aren't super populated these days
