Yeah, Jill vs. Kirby was a pretty big deal at the time, especially when you consider that a popular character was going out in Round 1 regardless of the result despite this easily being a Round 3 caliber match (as opposed to say, Spyro vs. Morrigan where people were mostly just salty about missing the second match in the bracket and weren't really all that jazzed up for either character's behalf). The prediciton percentage was almost exactly 50%, but the sentiment on the board favored Kirby despite the seeding being Jill (3) vs. Kirby (14), which really showed how meaningless the seeds were in 2002.
