Even if you haven't seen it, if you know 80s anime, you must have heard of it.
Its a lovely story with charming characters, beautiful 80s japanese music. Its better than the manga IMO as it expanded upon the manga so much more. Only watched a few random episodes and that "I Want to Return to That Day" movie. It was cool.

Loved the show and the first movie. I haven't rewatched it, so I don't know how well they hold up, but I gave the show a 9/10 and the movie a 10/10.
I never got around to watching all of Maison Ikkoku, but the manga is my second favorite manga. --- No matter where you go, there you are. ... Copied to Clipboard!

8/10 definitely a product of its time but it really was a wonderful series even so. And it was before characters could be flanderized tropes like the modern tsundere. Ayukawa was an amazing lead character. And the first movie made me sob or at least tear up every time I've seen it. <3 Will always hold a place in my heart and definitely would recommend.
