One day Nozaki-kun will get a second season, and win this whole contest.

Any second now!

Now is probably as good a time as any to mention that Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun was recently added to Netflix for anyone interested in one of the best comedic anime I've ever seen.... you know for NEXT SMFAS!

Nozaki has placed in the forties in 4 of its 6 contests... and one of the other two was 39th

truly a model of consistency

Nozaki's gags hold up.

One of the better casts out there, well guess Kaguya slots in for that particular space. .
I like Hinamatsuri and KonoSuba, but not sure how they'll hold up the more saves are required.

Martin anime update (also I need lefty, voltch and Yankees' help here):

I went back on what I said previously and watched the Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan, full series and OVA. I liked it more than Melancholy. I know I have bad taste in anime so let's move on.

Work has been crazy but last night I carved out the time to start watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes, first 2 episodes and I am already into it. I have two questions though:

(1) They were throwing a shit ton of names at me and I'm always bad with names so I really don't remember anyone except the main characters. Will the show do a good enough job of reminding us who these bit/side characters are when they turn up? Because I'm contemplating creating like, a list of character names and screenshots that I can refer to so I don't forget who's who (this sounds ridiculous as I type it out but there were really so many names getting thrown at me, getting a bit anxious here)

(2) Building off of point 1 and my own issues with getting enough free time - usually with a new show I'd just watch an ep or two at lunch and an ep or two at dinner - I'm thinking of trying to carve out dedicated binge watching blocks. So I'm wondering if there are distinct arcs that would best be served to watch in one sitting?

If there were and you could set me up with episode numbers that represent good binging arcs I would definitely take that into consideration and build my viewing schedule around that, for evenings and weekends. So please let me know, appreciate the assist here...

That was a brutal final two. I'll echo the watch Nozaki sentiment.

@MartinFF7 , I think it's normal to feel overwhelmed at first. The cast is large, but you'll get the names. I think it has a habit of displaying the name of the character again on the screen at the beginning.

If you want to chop it up, you may as well do it in the seasons it was released in. 1-26, 27-54, 55-86, and 87-110.

I'm about due for a rewatch now that I think about it..

Excellent, will take that into account!

Just watched episode 3 and I don't know why I'm digging this so much but I really am.

I also love:

Episode 2: here's this impregnatable fortress and it'll never be taken down
Episode 3: ok your mission is to take down that fortress

lol, here I expected a slower burn...!
