It'll probably be the last iPhone and the last smartphone in general to have a screen under 5 inches, have a home button and an LCD screen instead of OLED or those other types of screens.

Smartphones are getting to be too big to really be carried around in your pocket and are losing the easy portability factor that they had just a few years ago and i prefer smaller phones because they're more easy to carry with you.

I hate the way smartphones are going. They peaked with the original iPhone SE in terms of size. Why did that trend reverse? For a long time they were getting smaller each time. Now you're pretty much carrying around a small tablet if you get a modern iPhone.

I will 100% be buying the iPhone SE 2 at some stage and using it until it doesn't work anymore.

I do too. Its ridiculous how big smartphones are getting nowadays and i assume they'll only just keep getting bigger until people start saying something and wanting them to get smaller again.

This is why I love the shit out of my Galaxy z Flip. It's so easy to carry and put in your pocket, while being almost indestructible while closed and in a case.

People want to shit on foldable phones, but you have no idea how convenient it is unless you have one. It really is the future in phones and once the technology progresses it will become cheaper.

The rumor is that the base model iPhone 12 will have a 5.4" screen. When you account for the fact that it will have the edge-to-edge display like all other iPhones it will likely be even smaller than the iPhone SE 2 but with a bigger screen.

The return of flip phones are the only thing that seems will bring back cell phones to be easily portable again. I can't wait until phones like that become more affordable and probably largely replace the regular smartphones we have now.

IPS LCD screens are pretty good and they don't have a chance to have screen burn in like OLED. Plus they're probably cheaper to produce than OLED.

I have the Note 9, it's a great phone but the size is a real pain in the ass.

It either doesn't fit in the pockets of a lot of my clothes or it has to peek out the back packet. Anywhere I go I have to consider the size of the phone, like I have to take it out of my pocket when I sit down or whatever, carry it in my hand while running etc.

I think I will switch to the SE as well, I miss having a phone that was light and you could just leave it in your pocket like your wallet or something. With the note it's like I'm carrying around a brick everywhere

Yeah, that's what sucks about most phones now, big almost brick like heavy-ish things that can't fit in most pockets. I really hate the way they are and how things are going with them now.
