Pretty much every sane Marxist I know always says "Oh the USSR wasn't communist it was state capitalist blah blah blah" and they say that about every post-revolution society in history. I am not saying they are wrong, but when are we going to have a "real" communist revolution? It just seems like every time for the past 100+ years every time a revolution happens we end up dismissing it as "state capitalism"

Like how many times are we going to go through this cycle until we come to terms with the fact that communism just isn't going to happen?

A communist revolution is probably just a purge. A communist state should make no sense because a state has to monopolize power for global purposes...

the trajectory and evolution of the world's present communist regimes will be interesting long-term case studies, particularly vietnam and neo-china

most all have pivoted away from marxism-leninism, iterating in a variety of ways to accommodate real-world circumstances while still maintaining a commitment to their permutations of communist doctrine

i could see communism going the way of democracy - not working in its purest form, but stumbling upon somewhat sustainable forms by generations of catastrophic trial and error

Not sure what your malfunction here is

Communism isn't a dictatorship and about the economy. Real communism is about true equality in every aspect of life, economic, political, and socially. It is essentially impossible to have real communism in anything larger then a small village because then there would be to many people to vote on what things should be implemented.

An individual calls themself a communist to rally the people behind them. The government calls someone a communist to rally the people against them.

You said ' you cant end something you started'. While he was talking about ending slavery in the United States and a system that started world wars 1 and 2. So what i assumed made more sense than assuming monksmith suggesting capitalism started slavery and those world wars. Kensai seemed to be referring to American capitalism.

Really the whole chain is fucked up and unclear.

All you need to know is that you don't understand communism unless you support communism
