...Why not just bring up all the massive negative harm Trump has done to anyone not white, and show how he (Biden) is working to do the opposite and actually help them?

Because Joe Biden is entitled to your vote, and not giving it to him without hesitation is assault, at minimum.

Roughly 90,000 Black Wisconsin voters who voted in 2012 did not vote in 2016. Just something for those who don't think this matters and expect the Black vote to automatically go to the Democrats.

It's just kinda stupid to boil down a 20 minute interview into a single soundbite because it plays. Idk, seems like that's what happens across the board in politics, and it's kinda why the "biden has dementia" bull has gained some traction. Idk, maybe I just have respect for integrity.

Like there was some amount of serious discussion on the interaction between race, policy, and Joe's record in there. Why not actually discuss it?

(btw, I pretty much post the same response in any topic I enter where there's a soundbite taken for the sole purpose of it playing. I defended a soundbite from the Trump Administration about COVID-19. Doesn't mean I approve of the way that Trump is dealing with COVID-19, just that this type of bullshit is egregious to me.)

Biden and many non Black Dems problem is while the party has many Black folk in higher positions, these are still older people who didn't grow up in our culture and our somewhat isolated from most day to day Black people thus making them often come off as tone deaf, most Blacks shrug these types off since as a Black person you meet these people who don't mean bad but just struggle to connect to the Black experience and often say and do dumb shit but don't give off a particularly anti black vibe ALL OF THE TIME (cough cough including CE)

to be fair mandatory minimums were something more Conservative stae legislatures and had decent cross community support (lot of black folk supported them back in the day too do to a feeling that "those knuckleheads are out of control)

You dont have to be campaigning for him to make topics about him. You dont have to only sing his praises, you can discuss his policies and his interviews.

But we both know youre going to keep acting dense about this and youre not going to change your behavior and people are going to keep thinking of you as the weird Biden defender. Youre going to act like you have a problem with that but you wont do anything to dispel that notion because, as youve said, this is what you want to do.

It's very common to default to the "you are pointing out something wrong with the statement x, where x is a negative statement about y, therefore you must be a supporter of y" which is bullshit.

I'm not gonna create another topic on an interview that has several topics already so that this shitfest about the least important part of the interview can go undisturbed, just because it's entertaining and cathartic to shit on Biden. Like, this is the stuff that drives young voters, and I wish we could inject some critical thinking into it.
