I bought an item from Amazon, it said it was delivered on Tuesday but I can't find the damn thing anywhere. It was recommended to wait like 48 hours since UPS would sometimes label that it's delivered but then would deliver it later. 48 hours later and there's still no sign of it anywhere. I never dealt with this before so I called customer support about it to see what I can do about it and without any question they're going to send me a replacement... like shouldn't you at least question me a little about this? How do they know that I'm actually being sincere here? This seems so weird, I was expecting to go on a long "he said she said" bs with them. like idk, has it always been this easy? How do they not get abused by this? What's stopping me from lying next time I buy from them and say I never found my package when in reality I have? Maybe I'm overthinking this and I should be happy that they're replacing my order. lol

yeah it is that easy, I've done this and the item actually ended up coming like 2 weeks later, so I got two. They just told me to keep both.

Yes it's that easy. The thing is, they want a good customer base. So they treat you right, and in turn you treat them right. It's cheaper, easier and smarter to just send you a replacement instead of days of giving you the run-around. Packages get lost. They know it. You know it. For some reason some companies like to act like screwups don't happen and if they do it's 100% your fault and fuck you for wasting their time. There's no need to create that hostile relationship with the customer. It serves no purpose. Amazon is even like this when you screw up. I ordered the wrong drink for my mother. When I went to return it they told me to keep or donate it, and they gave me a full refund. They are just good like that. Not to their workers though, unfortunately.

But also, if you abuse the system they can just ban you.
