Reminds me of Hunt Showdown. I've played about ten hours of Tarkov so far and it's really tense, unique, complex and has some of the best gun and spatial audio I've heard in a game.

But it boils down to this.

Guys who are running around or standing up? AI or rookie, kill them, don't bother to loot them unless you're new.
Sneak like a rat through the game with a map you alt tab to, hope your run leads to an exit, get paid.
PvP is a jumpscare simulator with you out ratting them, or vice versa, point blank and mutually terrified.
If you run around someone will kill you, if you run out in the open the inevitable per-session sniper will kill you.

So it's basically a condensed version of Arma 2 DayZ. Me and a group of buddies used to spend whole nights crawling around through fields and forests and a lot of the bigger fights usually broke out because a rival group happened to be sneaking by and one of us bumped right into them.

Anyway after some more research apparently a wipe has been looming on the horizon forever so everyone is playing balls out with their best gear. Makes sense.
