What the hell happened in Nomura's mind after that?Iirc, Nomura didn't have completely free reign on the story back then, since they weren't sure how well the game would succeed and they wanted to play it safe. Nowadays, they just let him do whatever he wants, and a lot of the older production members, like scene directors and battle directors, don't even work on the games anymore.
