He refused to install any browser but internet explorer on payroll's pc because he didn't trust anything but internet explorer in case it sent tracking data.
How do I know this? I got forwarded an email he sent about 6 months ago. SIX FUCKING MONTHS AGO HE RECOMMENDED INTERNET EXPLORER

At my last job, we enforced an only IE policy for a few reasons.

  1. Our banking software was only compatible with IE.
  2. Browsers love to be set as the default browser which would generate helpdesk tickets from people cause their bank software isn't working.
  3. Just another application on the computer we'd have to keep up to date for Infosec/audit purposes.
