I thought Red Dead 2 is as good for different reasons. GTA IV as well. I can't think of any others. GTA V I probably still enjoy more although it's so big and the single player open world crossed with Online it seems sparse. I think RDR2 did this better. GTA IV was smaller but did too. Red Dead still seems so slow in comparison though where GTA V I'd say is more fun.

Witcher 3? Cyberpunk? That's all I can think of. I really didn't enjoy Witcher 3 as much as GTA V though but preference. It's an rpg. If you want questing and all of that. I guess Skyrim too.

I haven't played a GTA game since San Andreas. If I play a game it'll be red dead. GTA should go back to it's roots, London.

I agree in ways. I'm kind of sick of the GTA formula in general. I wish there were other games. There are a handful but some developers really just have copy catted and not come up with anything new or as good.

Cyberpunk will probably be it but it's still going to follow that same premise. But be more of an rpg/1st person shooter GTA cyberpunk themed clone.

Watchdogs 2 really blows if I haven't said that enough. LA Noire really didn't go all out either. And it's rockstar just the same. I don't see any smaller developers coming up with anything smaller and more interesting either. A few of them are ok I guess.

I don't care if an open world is smaller if it's good. There are these procedurally generated huge open worlds too like No Man's Sky. Outer Wilds was kind of interesting but eh. I need some kind of combat. Outer Worlds too. It's just a fallout clone better quality but smaller. Yakuza is not really better than GTA V but to each their own.

I loved Grand Theft Auto V, but I have to go with Red Dead Redemption 2.

it's easily the best, and most immersive, open-world title that I've ever played.

Oh and to answer the topic, I enjoyed Sleeping Dogs so much more than GTAV.
