I don't want an ant infestation in my house, but so far it's just been scouts and I don't know what's going on with that.

Too late for preventive measures (cleaning up crumbs, fixing leaking water, etc.) if you've been seeing few.

Your best bet now is to bait.

It's been like this for the past month or so. Maybe every few days is an exaggeration, but like once every week or two.

These ones are trying to figure out where you sleep. Once they figure it out they will all swarm into your mouth/nose while you're asleep and suffocate you. Then it will be their house.

That's because they're watching and waiting. If you have a cat or dog not even their food is safe.

They likely have colonies in the walls of your house numbering millions.

Get some of those ant traps. I had a serious ant problem in my apartment and the traps put an end to it within several hours.

It was crazy I just put a trap near where they were coming in and all the sudden it stopped.

idk where to put the traps in this house it's all open space and I don't want the cats to get them. Maybe the garage? :\ I'm just afraid that's going to attract more ants.

Actually also find it odd that I've been here for almost four years and *haven't* had an ant invasion, but in the 4th story apartment I did.

I've thought about getting/making one of those liquefied metal anthill sculpture things but it also kind of makes me sick to think of all the ants that are dead and encased in there permanently.

See I'm not sure if I'm putting it in the right place. I put carpenter ant bait and that Terro ant bait side by side hoping the ants will go for one of them (not sure if they're carpenter ants...man I hope not)

Also I put some perimeter ant killer so maybe they're not getting into the house cause they're getting killed by the perimeter insecticide. I called a pest control company just in case and I saved the corpse of the dead ant I crushed so that I can have them identify it. Hopefully not carpenter ants. I have a tenant who lives in the same house so I can't be having an ant problem

Spray in places they could be getting in, like your windows and doors.

Traps also work well, and they're pretty cheap

Time to start spraying. I'd also sprinkle some amdro. Its these little balls of poison the workers carry to their queen and well, bye-bye ant colony. Just make sure birds and any pets you may have can't get at it.

I have quite a severe ant phobia so i wouid suggest killing every one you see. Show no mercy.

I have a persistent ant problem. I tried the bait that's supposed to kill the queen but didn't have much luck with it. Now I just figure out where they're getting in and lay down some diatomaceous earth. It's impossible for them to walk through without killing themselves, harmless to pets afaik.

If theyre the really small ones, good luck. Youll never be able to seal them from getting in, crumbs too small to see are worth the effort for them and slaying a hundred of their number... they wont even feel it.

I haven't seen any ants in my kitchen

I killed an ant in my room and an ant in the bathroom (this jackass was climbing on the tile wall of my bathroom) so I put the baits there but they still haven't gone for it. Maybe they'll do it at night when I'm asleep

I live in the woods, black ants just happens. It's seemingly unavoidable. The liquid bait traps are easily the best, most of the other shit doesn't work.
