No. College is a joke these days for most colleges and degrees. An IQ test as a job requirement would be a cheaper and better way of seeing if you're qualified for a job in most instances.

If you want to make decent money without breaking your back then in most cases yes it's important.

Really depends on what your goals are. In my case I could get a comfy job with zero college after the military, but not having a Bachelor's limits promotability and pay options, at least for federal work.

Depends are where you live too. It's more important in cities, even if the degree isn't particularly relevant

No. There's guys working 80 hours a week here in Alberta on oil rigs doing manual labor and make $150k a year
