The answer to the "how far can a person walk into the woods" riddle has been accepted as "halfway", because once you reach halfway through the woods you are no longer walking into the woods, but out of it. If you accept that you cease to be walking into the woods when you reach the middle of the woods, then walking halfway into the woods means you've only walked a quarter of the way through the woods. Therefore the correct answer should be "all the way", because walking all the way into the woods means walking halfway through the woods.
