I mentioned to a friend that I love space-related stuff and he showed me the game. Ive never been much into simulators but I was impressed by the visuals. The sci-fi elements, like going 1000 times the speed of light and siphoning fuel from stars, were interesting to me even though the underlying explanations werent particularly good.
I didnt get to see any combat elements yet, though. Thoughts from people that have tried it? Its $40 on steam right now. --- Though the fear of death is a common one, the fear of life is a more rational one. ... Copied to Clipboard!

From what my friends who played it said, it's fun to play but there's apparently not a lot to do once you get invested.

I have a little over 100 hours in the game and I enjoyed my time with it. It gets a little too grindy for me personally, but some people dont mind that. My biggest complaint is there just isnt a lot of depth once you get past the learning curve.

It's really grind heavy and also content light, it goes on sale for under $10 for a reason, but if you really have a lot of free time and can get immersed it's a second to none experience in the aesthetic/flying/atmosphere department without getting into the sperglord simulators.

its like a deep space trucker simulation. if you dont think you'll get a thrill out of precision planning your routs to min/max profit then you'll probably get tired of it after a while.

Wait until a sale. I got it for $6 with ALL dlcs a few weeks ago. That being said ive still not played it.

Good call. Im a WoW player so I dont mind grinds and kind of enjoy min-maxing. Ill wait for a decent sale.

I was able to get ~400 hours out of it. The game is fun.
