Ah yes, that phenomenal argument again.

What happens to the year 0-1 if you count back decades? 0 is the starting point when counting years: 0-1, 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-6, 6-7, 7-8, 8-9, 9-10. That's ten years. So how can the year 2000-2001 be the end of a decade rather than the start of one?

Normally the argument's root is that there is no year 0, our calender begins with year 1. This is mostly an issue when discussing millennia and centuries, but following the logic through makes this a fair point for decades as well.

Personally I prefer decades starting from zero up to and including 9, that way a decade can be expressed as the all the years following the formula (defining number of the decade)+X e.g. the 90'ties would be all the years that fit 9X method of writing (90,91,92,93,94,95,96,97,98,99).

It's a terrible point for decades because nobody counts decades from the beginning

It does make some sense for century in this context but not nearly enough to complain about. literally it doesn't matter, nobody cares, you're not even technically correct, shut up and go away TC

I'm confused by this sudden MM VS BoftW as the game of the century poll. Why does MM get a free pass against BotW all by itself in such a poll? What about all the other amazing games from 2000 and onwards that weren't in the GotD poll, because they were from 2010 onwards? Was there a previous poll I don't know about where MM won, is that why? Someone care to explain? Personally I like both TP and WW more than MM and BotW.
