I'm about halfway through. The premise is that a new group of heroes have appeared and challenge Superman's belief of not killing bad guys. Not sure if it's going to be a fair argument since it's a Superman movie, but I guess I'll see what happens.

I really like Lois in this! Also, Sephiroth voices Superman!

I have so many questions.

Is Jonathan Kent alive canonically? I always thought he was dead (actually, I'm not even sure how he dies, I just thought he was).

When did Superman get an Iron Legion?

And what's the deal with the Fortress of Solitude? He was sitting in there thinking and I couldn't help wondering why he couldn't just do that in his apartment. Is it something to do with his super hearing and allowing him somewhere quiet? Also, who can get into the fortress? I know nothing about this thing really.

I can't remember if I've seen the whole thing, but it has a lot of great moments. That final confrontation is awesome.

Probably because they kill him off in a lot of the movies. DC's continuity is kinda shaky. Sometimes both Kents will be alive, sometimes only Martha is alive, and sometimes they're both dead. Whether they're alive or dead tends to inconsequential since even when they're alive he doesn't interact with them much as an adult.

As of the last reset, I think they're both still alive.

He's had robots for a long time. During the Death of Superman storyline, it was his robots who recovered his body from the crypt. I'm not sure what decade they were introduced, but I think it was 80s or earlier.

They very rarely come up.

Given its location, very few people. Some continuities have a physical door, others just have an entrance underwater. Lex Luthor got into it during some of the movies. Batman, Wonder Woman, and Robin have all visited, most notably in "For the Man who has Everything," which is among the best Superman stories (which was adapted for the JL/U where it notably excluded Robin because Robin wasn't in the show)

Technically it's based on a comic occurring in the normal continuity, but the movies take liberties with the story and are kinda self-contained. I'm pretty sure it came out before DC had its animated movie continuity, which has generally been a stupid thing anyway.
