With this zombie situation as long as you stay under the radar and not fly around like a jackass saying "Come and get me zombies!" you'd be fine. It just becomes a waiting game for the vaccine.
With decomposition being in play zombies become so little of a threat after a couple weeks when their teeth and nails fall out. Dumb rules aside, I'd pick the zombies because at least then I'd have something to observe and something to do amidst the madness. All I know is the TV people told everyone "stay home, there's a virus outbreak"; now, everybody walks around in masks like they're about to rob each other.
