Builds on the pretty average first movie. Has the Nightcrawler that we always wanted to see on film. First movie to do the villain and hero team up and still one of the best ones.

Too many reasons to even list.

Bust most importantly no jlaw to drag the entire movie down.

Nah, it feels very much like an early 2000s superhero movie. DoFP is best, followed by Logan.

not really, it has some good parts like the future sections but ultimately it has jlaw (taking center focus no less) which drags it down quite a damn bit.

Jlaw only took center focus because she was the mcguffin. I was very pleased with how the rest of the cast got time to shine. I thought it was going to be the JLaw show bc her fame but that wasn't the case at all. Though it's amusing how people with that same fear apparently still act like it's reality, even though the movie has been out for a good while now.

In X2 a lot of the cast got time to shine too. Unfortunate that prof x was kidnapped but it wasn't purely the wolverine show, I liked the build up to jean grey phoenix which unfortunately never came, and it was the closest thing we got to rogue actually existing in those movies.

Not to mention mystique being awesome in it and of course, ian mckellan being double awesome

Logan takes a massive shit on all of it. The first two X-Men movie were decent, but X3 almost killed the entire thing. So garbage.

Days of future past imo

My favorite film due to the fact it successfully rebooted the franchise while still retaining the old films some how. He movies after were bad but Dofp did something I didn't think was possible back then a actually good reboot of the franchise

First Class was so amazing and such a surprise at the time, breathing new life into the series after a whole bunch of duds, and the first time we got the amazing james mcavoy and michael fassbender, worthy torch carriers to patrick stewart and ian mckellan. Plus jlaw wasn't as famous yet so her terribly acted sections drag down the movie only slightly...

But she still drags it down. It's the worst part of the movie, every scene she's in.

The mystique and charles relationship was one of the weirder things that the movie tried to have established.
