Depends how much you like classic Simpsons and Marvel. Also The Mandalorian is good. Its worth a month just for that.

We got the year sub just after it went live. I enjoyed The Mandalorian and am super stoked for all the SW/Marvel shows, but generally couldn't give a fuck about the back catalogue. I saw most of it when I was kid, no interest in rewatching 95% of it.

Especially when they fuck up the aspect ratio, which I noticed myself when she put on the first episode of Rescue Rangers. I did want to dig through the entirety of The Simpsons but now won't specifically because they ruined it for no reason. Like, people who want it widescreen can just use the button on their remote.

So it depends on what you want. If you wanna watch a whole lot of Disney content, sure. If you want the new stuff, probably wait until another show or two drops.

If I was into Star Wars and Marvel I'd get Disney. I barely even watch Netflix now. Canceled it for like 4 months and got it back. I'll finish BB then see if I get into another show. Most movies on their I seen and my kids don't really care for Netflix since they prefer stuff on Youtube usually by Youtubers.

i tend to use both services anyway.

once my sub runs out on hulu i'll just get the bundle.

It comes bundled with Hulu and it's less than $10. You get to watch all episodes of Recess and obscure other obscure Disney cartoons like Pepper Ann, MTV's Downtown, Filmore! , What's With Andy and The Weekenders. EVERY STAR WARS FILM! EVERY MARVEL FILM! EVERY MARVEL CARTOON! EVERY ANIMATED MARVEL MOVIE!

For an adult only household, I dont think so beyond the free trial. I think they were a little quick to start their platform, or just overconfident.

Eh, it's alright. I've had it twice, a 7 day trial when it launched here in the US and then subscribed for a month not long ago. After watching what i wanted, i had no use for it.
I really wish for their tv shows especially the upcoming Marvel shows they'd release all the episodes at once not one a week. I want to binge watch shows. Hell I'd pay $15 a month just to binge watch shows. $7 a month for 4 episodes??no thanks.

for a year
do you have kids? Do you really want to keep re-watching the MCU?

there isn't enough OC aimed for adults for me to even consider it for a month. When a couple more of their marvel shows are out i'll sub for a month and churn through them. I own most of the MCU, that came with digital copies, so there is little to no advantage that disney+ can offer and I have no interest in watching the disney or pixar movies.

I always have prime (for 2 day shipping) and hulu (comes with my spotify sub for no cost) then rotate between the other streaming. Namely netflix and hbo.

Yeah from an outsider POV it looks like it's mostly older and/or kids targeted content. Some of that stuff is obviously good and in some cases classic material but a lot of it seems interesting as an old curio at best

I had to do a double take when I looked this up and discovered it starred Michael Cimino, because the director of Heaven's Gate and The Deer Hunter died. But its a different Michael Cimino.

So, Michael Cimino #2 is in Annabelle Comes Home, an evil doll horror movie. Michael Cimino #1 was the director of Heaven's Gate, which prominently featured Brad Dourif. Brad Dourif was the voice of Chucky from the Child's Play movies, the most famous evil doll horror movies, a series initially co-created and directed by Tom Holland. But not, obviously, the same Tom Holland who starred as Spider Man in the most recent Spider Man movies. The first of these movies features Donald Glover, who also plays the new Lando Calrissian, a character who once shared the screen with Mark Hammil, who voiced Chucky in the newest Child's Play movie.

Imagining myself a childless bachelor... I probably wouldnt get it unless I was a bigger fan of Star Wars / Marvel.
