One of the buttons is shown as being held down in game, but the button presses normally on the controller.

I'm thinking I just need to take it apart and clean the sensors inside the neck for it to work. Has anyone here done this before?

It's the wired X-Plorer guitar that came with GH2. Thought about just buying a new one but everyone wants like $100+ for theirs.

I never opened one up. mine all still function fine but like half have broken whammy bars. should be able to open up with just a screwdriver but might need a specialty one. it'll be some kind of torx screw. the guitar is already broke so won't hurt to open it up and try to clean it and see what happens.
