Excited for the changes and to re-experience this game, see if it's as fun as I remember.

Want to go in mostly blind, but also want to be privy to any gameplay exploits, tips, tricks etc. I'm tempted to see if it's possible to get the ultimate weapon but only if it's not too much of a hassle.

nah, go ahead and get 15. Its the worst game in the series imo, but you should experience it yourself since you are curious

Based on the trailer it seems like a bunch of bros driving around and fighting kaijus. Whats not to like?

The speed up is amazing for this game. As is with all other FFs that got the speed up lol.

Also, if you want to break the game by easily getting 3 of arguably the best weapon in the game, look up the Seitengrat 100% RNG exploit. Even if you don't want it, it's pretty damn cool how people somehow found out a way to manipulate what's supposed to be 1/1000 chance to be 100%

Just be careful with 4x speed though. Get used to it and every other game you play soon after will feel like slo-mo.

The two pretty much play entirely differently, tbh.

If you played Xenoblade, XII is like that except more automated if you use the gambit system. It's a neat way to control the AI to do what you want it to do, but it's...really extensive. But you don't have to use it. If you played FFVII Remake, FFXV is similar to that except easier with no item restriction and auto-use Phoenix Downs.

Is it the only chest in the game that's invisible or am I gonna have to obsessively press "x" everywhere I go because that's gonna be annoying quick especially with it being the same button for bringing up the attack menu.

Also I saw a couple youtube clips about it but it looks like a pain trying to manipulate RNG to the exact right conditions. I might give it a go once I'm better acquainted with the game. Although I hear there are jobs now so my characters might not even be able to equip a bow.

It's great that they included a job system but sucks that with only 3 playable characters, you don't get to experience all jobs at once. I kind of want to diversify my characters' jobs but I honestly just prefer creating 3 warrior types to attack hard, attack fast, and pummel everything in my way. Whenever I'd choose mage or other type jobs it's only to get the abilities associated with the jobs to bolster the attacker class job.

I didnt enjoy the PS2 version when it came out as it felt too slow. Really tempted to jump back into the new version on PC with the improvements though.

I'm not sure if you watched the right one if you describe it as a pain. The one I'm talking about is where you create a save inside the ship cabin and then a save at the beginning of the game where you encounter your first save crystal in the palace infiltration. You use cure on yourself until you get 3 specific numbers in a row (depending on your PS4 or something), quit the game, load the ship cabin, go up to the treasure, wait for the boy in the background to do a certain action, then open the chest. It shouldn't be too bad.

Also one of the great factors about Seitengrat is that you don't need a license to use it so all classes should be able to use it. And I believe there's 2-3 other invisible chest weapons/shield
