I'd just have the beef patty and then some gravy or au jus, with mashed potatoes on the side.

I didn't like ketchup or really, any condiments when I was younger. So I'm still used to eating burgers dry

Now I wanna go to McDonalds tomorrow and order a burger with no bun, cheese, ketchup, mustard, or onions. Just a single burger patty. I'm curious to see if they do it.

We have a winner.

No, i dont like dry burgers. I just dont like condiments.

Chicken and beef both should be nice and juicy if cooked properly. If condiments are being used to mask dry meat, it's a bad burger.

PLAIN plain? No. Just cheese? Sure. Not always but sometimes. Just get to the heart of the matter, really. And yes, the above point that "if your burger is dry without condiments, it's a bad burger" is true.

That said, in an ideal circumstance where it won't be a soggy mess, I'll do a burger with cheese, onions, lettuce, and maybe tomato, though I'm not huge on tomato. Don't hate it. Not a pickles or mustard guy... pickles are okay on stuff occasionally but I have never ever enjoyed mustard.

I find mustard and mayo to be vile. Also, most places that put the condiments on beforehand put way too much.

Plain and dry has nothing to do with cheese or with some specialty items like bacon etc. It means no veggies and no sauces.

No cheese (at least in America) means you have to specifically say hamburger, vs cheeseburger.

Plain and dry cheeseburgers are common enough with food reviewers.
