Is Asterix actually good/funny, or is it kind of like microcomputer games where it was just what everybody in Europe had access to for socio-economic and/or political reasons, and anybody who didn't grow up with it thinks it sucks shit

I am well aware it is a comic, I was using microcomputer games as a comparison point as a piece of media very popular in Europe but almost totally ignored elsewhere

Asterix was damn fun (TV show here), and ZX/C64 etc can be solid too!
