Goldmember was awful. I think I laughed once in the entire movie.

The Spy Who Shagged Me wasn't great either, but it was a lot better than that.

I haven't watched Goldmember, but I can't imagine it being much worse than Spy Who Shagged me. That was like a .5/10 movie.

I think the first 2 hold up very well.

the third one is just a cash grab, and it was noticeable when it first came out

International Man of Mystery was great
The Spy Who Shagged Me was ok
Goldmember never should've been made

All of the Austin Powers movies were awful when they came out and they've aged really poorly since.

Derivative, low-brow humor that is almost making a mockery of the original. International Man of Mystery was a spoof on movies like In Like Flint, itself a spoof on James Bond. It had the perfect balance of wit and schlock. When you take a comedy seriously, you know it's good. The Spy Who Shagged Me was a yuck-yuckier version of that, but it still embraced its roots and had moments that I found more beautiful than the original (best) Austin Powers movie. Goldmember was just joke after joke with no substance and little direction, other than "don't do that one thing the other two movies did, but instead do that thing the last film did...but worse..."

Huh, I'm surprised to see how many people don't think Spy Who Shagged Me was all that great. I agree that Goldmember sucked, but Spy Who Shagged Me was the best of the three in my opinion.
