yes, many people in nyc have no respect for the cops due to de blasio, the cops hate him.

He appeared to raise a closed right fist and the guy stops him from swinging on him and drops him with a few slaps. Dude was about to punch a cop. What did he expect to happen?

yeah, I agree with you, he should do something less threatening such as deciding to wear military gear, tactical vests, grab an assault weapon or a long weapon and then gather with others doing the same in order to take over a state capitol and then scream on the face of a police officer, right during COVID times, maybe had he done that he'd be ok, right?

While I'm not completely siding with the cops, some of the people down there are absolute animals. That guy shouldn't have approached that cop at all and especially once he told him to get the fuck back. He should have just raised his hands up and immediately backed away like any person with common sense would have. That cop seemed like he was high on adrenaline and testosterone and was ready for if shit went down. Lucky he wasn't shot.

Also, it seems like the cop knew the drill when taking care of that second guy. Don't beat him with closed fists so he wouldn't leave any big bruises, or clear distinguishable marks and rough him up with open handed blows to assert dominance and teach him a lesson. It's not like the guy could legally defend himself in any situation without facing legal repercussions. Wouldn't be surprised if the cop has gotten away with lots of illegal shit before.

He squared up on the cop. Cop was telling him, get back, and cracklin his fuckin taser. Does that seem like a dude thats playing around? He got in the cops face with an aggressive stance, trying to look hard in front of his friends, and got smacked down like a bitch. Case closed.

That being said, notice the way the cop put his knee on the guys neck? He was resting his weight on him, essentially choking the dude a little while he was not resisting. Now THAT is excessive. Im sure he can get away with it but he didnt need to do that. Could any of us do that job and get the respect required to patrol NYC? Very few. That is not a job for soft, sensitive people.

for one the protesters in michigan were armed and police officers didn't want a possible blood bath.
the officers on site there were prolly ordered by their sergeants not to get hands on unless the totality of the situation goes bad.
