It's hard to say, it's just a game where you get to relax and think of your own goal to complete. The island is yours to morph into what you want. Whats the appeal? there is nothing special about it. It's basically the sims but with animals. all the pre teens are raving about it. It is as boring as it looks too and I've played ACNH for 115 hours apparently.
