I got really lucky and just kept getting new ones every other day till I finished. Last one I needed was the T-Rex tail and dug it up this morning.

I'll hold onto my fossils going forward, since I don't really need the cash for selling them, so if people keep posting lists of what they need, I'll see if I can help other people finish too.

Flick & CJ really need to provide multiple commissions per visit

I got a stockpile of 211 bugs/fish clogging up my storage and 22 laying around my island and they don't even visit enough to commission the new bugs/fish of the month while new ones pile on :|

I've never had CJ on my island. I've had Flick once and Redd twice (but I think both of those were forced events)

Tomorrow is probably when I get KK Slider and can actually start doing stuff to my island.

Yeah my original goal was to prioritize the fish and bugs that recently left, but then CJ only showed up once during April so I quickly gave up on that notion.

I don't understand why this isn't the case. It seems like a lot of NPCs have that value of having something to offer visitors to your island. Having this be the way to get around the restriction of one commission per visit would be perfect. I feel like the only reason why they give you that limit in the first place is to support the values of patience and communication the series is based on, so why it doesn't work for the latter is puzzling.

Well, to be fair, if the idea is to support the value of patience, then letting people just visit a lot of other people's islands and be done with it is the opposite of that. >_>

like even if we were guaranteed CJ & Flick one visit a week... that's 52 fish/bug models, 62% of the total from a full work of being prepared for a new commission a week

yeah this is why I'm kind of opposed to making a second profile, like I trust in the game when they make weird choices like "no multiple crafting" and the like because I don't mind a slow game.

but my ex-wife has like 30 miniatures on her island so like it really is just about getting RNG screwed

edit: I should also mention her first CJ was when I bought the game so it's not like she's been playing crazy longer than me

I mean, if it was like Celeste or Redd in that you could only get one a day then that would be a nice middle ground.

I mean, you have to put in some limits to promote longevity. Traveling to other people's island wouldn't be fun if everybody got everything in the first few weeks. But having that minor "you get another shot at it today by visiting a friend" trait to things helps gives more value towards making friends and visiting them. I don't why they dropped the ball on this specific instance, when stuff like the other visitors, the Able Sisters, etc. work better like this.

and the commissions are just so much more numerous than Celeste recipes and Redd paintings =/... and you have to actually use up your storage for them is the main drag that no other visitor has

And you can just abuse having multiple accounts to make models. In theory you could probably just bust through dozens of switch accounts to make Flick models.

I understand wanting to take things slowly, but extra fish and bugs seems like an easy thing for Nintendo to add as free DLC later on. Just add an extra room to the museum for each and boom.

So, Im just getting models of the bugs and fish I actually want and then eh to the rest.
