I hear the show takes a few episodes before it really hits it's stride. I've been meaning to give it another go as sometimes it takes me multiple times to get into a show(watched GoT first episode 4 times before finally giving it a chance) Try again. Much, much better. If you don't know, it's written by a guy who worked for the Baltimore Sun and spent like a year or more with the BPD. A lot of the characters are based on real people he worked with, and many of the actors they wind up introducing are people that were pulled from the streets. And it's just an entirely accurate portrayal in virtually every way - you can still visit most of the places in the show. I love that it doesnt skip through paperwork and stuff like that. I've been meaning to give it another go as sometimes it takes me multiple times to get into a show(watched GoT first episode 4 times before finally giving it a chance) Each season takes 6-7 episodes to get in full swing.
