I see several on Facebook Marketplace for under $100

It wasn't actually a bad console, right? Just had really shitty marketing?

Not really. It wasn't a bad console, but at the same time it wasn't something you absolutely needed either. Mine just sits in the corner of my room gathering huge piles of dust honestly.

Every single great game it had is being ported to the switch as either enhanced versions or collections....mario kart 8 deluxe, donkey kong tropical freeze, new super mario bros U, bayonetta 1 and 2 combo pack, and my personal favorite Wii U game super mario 3D world, which is about to get a better switch port with more levels and whatever else (hopefully online play this time around).

Off the top of my head, the only three games that you would want on it that is exclusive to it at the moment is wind waker HD, twilight princess HD, and monster hunter 3 ultimate HD.....there is a huge-ass chance those zelda games will get ported at some point. It does have the virtual consoles with some SNES, NES, and gameboy advance games, some Wii ports and so on. Also you can mod it I believe.

If you Like collecting stuff sure. But 90 percent of the library is trash. The other 10 percent are on the switch or coming to the switch

tl;dr It's great for either modding or VC, whichever route you choose. A good netflix box especially with the gamepad screen. Has the whole Wii library available, including Metroid Prime Trilogy. Some good games worth getting. Definitely worth getting for $100 if in decent working condition.

As a collectors item its probably worth that price. These things are gonna be rare in the future.

For games, almost all of the good ones have been ported to SWITCH
