I have a Yorkshire Terrier (Prone to horrible teeth), so the vet had to extract almost a good portion of his teeth. He's a big fan of treats, so I don't want cut that off. I'm also trying to save his remaining teeth, so I try to brush them everyday. There's weekends where I'm also gone three to four days, and no one in my house wants to brush my dogs teeth.
Could someone recommend dental dog treats that won't cause harm to him while eating them? --- Simply Abysmal AbysmalTrinity ... Copied to Clipboard!

Greenies are ok, but even with them and brushing there will likely still be extractions in the future, but doing all of this will give you a good window until you next have the teeth cleaned again.
Does your vet have any Rx chews? Sometimes they might if you ask. Little dogs its tough, 42 teeth jam packed into a tiny mouth. --- I should not walk so a child may live. ... Copied to Clipboard!

none of them. if you're dog is missing teeth and has a bunch of bad ones there's a high chance it doesn't want to chew on hard treats. so it'll either ignore the treats entirely, or possibly choke down chunks too big for it to safely eat. they're also just overpriced bullsht.
if you've absolutely got to try a chew to clean the teeth, i'd suggest pizzle. cow pizzle (its cow penis...) is chewy and will make them gnaw on it for a while, pair it with something to soften plaque. a mouth spray, or an additive to their water bowl. --- Taarsidath-an halsaam.
