Yeah, if we did a hard lockdown for 2 weeks everywhere, it would have done a lot more good than this "shelter in place.... with exceptions" thing we're doing now.

Pretty sure the idea was that in the meantime the feds would get testing and tracking spun up so that we could open up and have a better handle on the virus. That didn't and won't happen so states have to open because they don't have the money to keep people on UI.

My guess is that states have 2 options right now.

1. Tell people that shit is staying closed but there is no money so suck it up and deal with it.

2. Open shit up and pray that a miracle happens before corona overwhelms everything.
