I wasn't gonna do the Champions ballad when I realized the shrines weren't even giving out shrine orbs for me to exchange for hearts, so they were all around useless. But I did like cheesing some of the shrines with fireproof armor and shock proof armor, that was fun.

Also did all 120 shrines! That was fun. I was hoping the DLC would add more shrines so I'd have the full 30 hearts and full stamina, but in the end it turns out if you max stamina you end up with 28 hearts. Not too big of a deal.

The extra cutscenes for the champions were alright, the final one in particular was pretty cute.

The final reward for beating the champions ballad is a dirtbike though? That's pretty hilarious.

The bike it's nice for certain terrain, and is pretty fun to drive around lol. I usually use a horse with the teleporting armor, but sometimes I like to whip out the bike.

It's faster than the horse isn't it. I'm glad I only just got it because it seems like it totally negates the horse now. Although now there's really nothing anymore to do, and I'm sad :( .

I know 200+ hours is more than enough time and the equivalent of like 10 games but I'm just sad it's over and the ending doesn't give me the happiest vibes. I was hoping something as grand as Paper Mario's ending parade or even just Ocarina of Time's "see how everyone is celebrating" type ending. We get none of that.

Damn I got pretty bored of BotW after like 40 hours

There's not really any challenge once you start getting higher level gear

Tbh I think the faster horses are faster than the bike, which is why I usually prefer to use them. The nice thing about the bike is you can jump off small cliffs and stuff.

And take some solace in that this is one of the Zeldas privileged enough to get a direct sequel.

Went around killing a few silver lynels and some guardian stalkers. Man I wish they upgraded to gold lynels in the regular game just so I can see how I'd fare against them. I don't want to go through master mode and the entire game from scratch, I've collected too many materials.

Yeah the popularity of the game is probably what prompted Nintendo to make a sequel but I'm still (pleasantly) surprised they actually started working on a direct sequel so soon and announced it to boot. I wonder if it's going to be even larger than this game and have even more diversity, more enemies, more stuff around the world map.

Personally, I think the game would be improved with crafting of some kind. You're constantly getting shit, and in some ways we are already basically crafting with the clothing upgrades. But I think it would be cool if weapons were more rare, but you could make your own when you were in a pinch.

But enemy variety is hopefully a big improvement. There are are a ton of Zelda enemies that didn't show up in this game, and tons of old bosses they can bring back/remix for big monsters in the sequel.

I believe it's been confirmed that the game takes place on the same map, which is pretty lame. But at the same time that might mean we get more meaningful content. Maybe some stuff to explore that's more fleshed out than shrines. Imagine multiple Hyrule Castle esque dungeons populating the map or something. Plus, I'm going to guess that the sequel will have a "dark world" or "world of the past" like LttP, TP, OoA, OoT, etc. But I shouldn't build expectations too high without knowing more details about the sequel.

There's a ton of room for improvements on the formula, and I'm very curious to see what they do. I really wish the game would get a definitive release date lol.

Those are great ideas, I'd love something like Hyrule Castle again with all the different ways you could enter it and all the secret passages, that was super cool. More castles is a plus, like maybe there's both a Hyrule Castle and even a Ganon castle?
